The OSA Fall Vision Meeting is a conference devoted to all aspects of the visual system, featuring a slate of invited symposia on a variety of topics, as well as contributed talks and posters. The abstract book is now finished and can be downloaded HERE. Thanks to Sara Peterson at the University of Rochester for putting this together.

Online registration can be done HERE.

Weiji Ma will conduct a special event during lunch on Saturday, October 17th, entitled "Growing up in science." Here is his description: Have you ever wondered what your advisor was like as a graduate student? What they struggled with? What they are struggling with now? This informal discussion for students and postdocs will not be about science, but about becoming and being a scientist. How do you deal with your own and others' expectations, and with impostor syndrome? How do you keep yourself motivated? Wei Ji Ma (NYU) will tell his personal story and then guide a conversation about the human factors that are universal undercurrents of working in academia but that too often remain unspoken. If you are interested in participating, please contact weijima@nyu.edu.

Saturday night following the Boynton lecture there will be a banquet at the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant; Friday night there will be another group dinner at a location TBD. The Friday evening event is included with registration; tickets for the Saturday banquet may be purchased along with registration.

The meeting will immediately precede the main OSA annual meeting, Frontiers in Optics (FiO), which will also be held at the Fairmont (http://www.frontiersinoptics.com/home/). OSA members who register for the Fall Vision Meeting will be eligible for complimentary one-day registration at FiO. Similarly, OSA members who register for FiO will be eligible for complimentary one-day registration at the Fall Vision Meeting. You must be a current OSA member at the time of registration.
